The delegation included Dr. Karim Radi Murshedi, Attaché for Culture and Education, employees of the Cultural Bureau Diyar Khalid Dervish Hamuka and Alexander Zavyalov.
Vladimir Stromov made a brief introduction to Derzhavin University for the guests.
“TSU is a classical university with a hundred-year history. A number of educational programs have been opened for foreign students, and not only in the Medical Institute, which is especially in demand among those who come from other countries," Vladimir Stromov said.
Guests discussed the development of international academic cooperation between universities and organizations of the Republic of Iraq and TSU named after GR. Derzhavin during the meeting with the University administration.
Delegates also met with students from Iraq studying at TSU.
Students from Iraq have been studying at the TSU since 2008. 45 students from this country are studying at Derzhavin University at present.
