The Festival "Days of Slavic Writing and Culture" was held at the East China Normal University (Shanghai). Derzhavin University professors took part in preparing and holding the Festival. For students and teachers of the Russian Language Faculty of the Institute of Foreign Languages, a cultural and educational program was organized. Within two weeks, theoretical and practical sessions, themed evenings and creative meetings were held.
During the Festival, students were able to expand their Russian language knowledge and improve skills, learn a lot about the history and development of Slavic writing and culture," said Maria Matveeva, Director of the Center for International Programs and Projects at the TSU Department of International Relations. “Students took part in the Russian language writing contest. Freshmen made an exciting virtual journey across Russia; second and third-year students became participants of the evening dedicated to the Russian folk song. Graduate students attended a series of lectures on Russian language, literature, history and culture.
The gala concert, in which students of the Russian Language Department of the Institute of Foreign Languages took part, crowned the Festival.
