Eight TSU students have become the holders of presidential scholarships. The following students have won the President of the Russian Federation scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year: Vladimir Zavyalov and Daria Hasanova, fourth-year year students of the Institute of Law and National Security; Regina Esikova, a second-year student of the Institute of Economics, Management and Service; Georgy Makhrachev, a fourth-year student of the Pedagogical Institute; Murad Taibov, a fifth-year student at the Medical Institute; Kristina Fedorova, a fourth-year student of the Institute of Economics, Management and Service; Dmitry Lazarev, a second-year graduate student of the Institute of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies; Darya Zhigacheva, a third-year graduate student of the Institute of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies.
“It has already become a tradition when students of Derzhavin University are leading in obtaining urban, regional nominal, federal nominal scholarships and grants, as well as scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation,” says TSU Rector Vladimir Stromov. “Research work of the University students is developing dynamically. Young people unite themselves to implement large-scale interdisciplinary projects. The University infrastructure, including scientific laboratories, a technopark, a nanocenter, a student business incubator, small innovative enterprises, is a platform for scientific research and professional development.”
The scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation is awarded to undergraduate and graduate students of higher educational institutions who have outstanding academic and scientific achievements, who are winners of national and international competitions, creative competitions, festivals or authors of discoveries, two or more inventions, and scientific articles in central Russian and foreign publications.
