TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin is receiving congratulations on its centenary both from Russian and foreign colleagues.
Tambov State University is hosting the delegations from Macedonia led by Jordan Gjorcev, Chairman of the Board of the International Slavic University "Gavrilo Romanovich Derzhavin", Serbia led by Velibor Stevic, Secretary General of the Serbian Royal Academy of Innovative Sciences, Uzbekistan headed by Nozirom Ibragimov, Professor of Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service.
“ One hundred years is a significant date! Congratulations on your holiday, dear colleagues!” said Jordan Gjorcev, Chairman of the Board of the International Slavic University "Gavrilo Romanovich Derzhavin". “We have been fruitfully cooperating for about 12 years and will try to strengthen our relations in the future.”
Colleagues from Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov, GITIS, Vologda, Penza, Yelets, Orel, Voronezh and Lipetsk universities and other institutions of the region and Russia have come to share the festivity with the Derzhavin University.
Among the gifts to the University for the centenary, which were brought by the guests, there is know-how from Penza students - an endless calendar, a bird of happiness and a cake from students of the LSPU named after P.P. Semenova-Tian-Shansky, invitations to the International Student Festival of Theatrical Art “Stanislavsky. Start" from GITIS and others.
TSU has received letters of congratulation from the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Belarusian State Economic University, Ryazan State Medical University named after Academician I.P. Pavlov, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Saratov State Law Academy, Belgorod State University, St. Petersburg State University, Innopolis University, and Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov.
Colleagues from Birmingham City University (United Kingdom), Qingdao University (People's Republic of China), Charles University (Czech Republic), Belarusian State Economic University, Baranovichi State University (Belarus) have sent their greetings to Tambov State University.
The authorities, partner organizations, and industrial enterprises, where TSU students have their work placement and TSU graduates work, have sent their congratulations to the University.
“For my part, I will make every effort to create a promising research and production site on the basis of Kotovsk Paint and Vanish Factory,” said Andrey Lobanov, executive manager of the factory. “This will certainly give positive prospects for cooperation with you.”
Meetings of TSU graduates of different years and retired professors have been held in all departments of the University where the veterans and graduates were honored.
“Since the day I became a student of the Faculty of Physical Education at TSU, 66 years have passed. After graduation, I was offered a job in the faculty, and in 1956 I began to teach at the Department of Sports Disciplines. Then I became head of the department, for 11 years I was the dean of the faculty,” shared Nikolay Skorokhodov, veteran sports and labor. “I can say that I am a patriot of my department and I have always been happy, delighted and satisfied with the the success of each of my students. I do not think this is only my merit: it is the merit of the University.”
