The 2nd European Education Week took place in Stavropol in the North Caucasus Federal University. More than 500 people from 34 universities of Russia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Moldova and Greece became its participants.

Representatives of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the French State Agency for the Promotion of French Higher Education Abroad (CampusFrance), and the National Erasmus + Office also took part in the work.

The forum discussed issues of internationalization of higher education, mechanisms for ensuring the incoming and outgoing academic mobility of students and teachers, the problems of adapting students to the new academic environment. During the week, participants attended seminars, open lectures, master classes, and round tables.

Derzhavin University was represented by Irina Mizis, director of the Center for International Education. She introduced the participants of the forum to the experience of implementing academic exchanges at TSU and the program “Favorable Environment for Foreign Students” developed in the framework of the priority project “Export of Russian Education”.

“Internationalization of higher education is an indispensable condition for the development of modern universities,” said Irina Mizis. “TSU named after G.R. TSU students have the opportunity to improve their professional level in foreign universities, which further increases their competitiveness.”
