Foreign students of Derzhavin University took third place in the II All-Russian Festival of Personalized Universities "Names of Russia - Glory to Russia". It was held at Lipetsk State Pedagogical University named after P.P. Semenov-Tyan-Shansky and gathered representatives from 11 personalized universities of Central Russia. Students took part in contests, presentations, sports competitions and in a 19th century costume ball.

“The Festival left a very good impression,” said Mihir Patil, a student at the Medical Institute. “We learned a lot of interesting things about the history of Lipetsk, and also got acquainted with the life and work of great people, whose names the universities participating in the Festival bear.

During the music competition, TSU foreign students amazed the participants with an excellent performance of songs in Russian. Many people were able to see the classical Indian dance for the first time. It was performed by a TSU student from India, Munj Mrunmay Sanjay. The brightest performance was beatbox on the flute performed by Mahmoud Saad. He was awarded a star of the LSPU named after P.P. Semenov-Tian-Shansky.
